Monthly Activities Coordinator
I was born & raised in Brooklyn, NY. I grew up with my parents & sister in the Bensonhurst & Gravesend neighborhoods. While there, I attended Lafayette High School. I then met my future husband and received an Early Childhood Education degree at Brooklyn College.
Bruce & I married and moved to suburban Virginia outside of D.C. for three years. After that we moved back up to the New York area, on Long Island. Before long, our son Jason and then daughter Stacey came along. We got to spend a lot of time traveling, living in London for several months; Tokyo for a month; and take several vacations both in the U.S. and Europe.
When the kids were older, I began working for the Long Island Bellmore-Merrick School district in the accounting department. I retired just as Bruce & I were moving to The Villages. I was always known for putting parties together at the Kanin household on Long Island, and that hasn’t changed in The Villages. That experience led the way to me becoming co-leader of events at the Chavurah South.
